- Project Description:Mixing 215 live work lofts with residential condo flats and urban town homes in nine buildings on 4.86 acres in the heart of Downtown Scottsdale on the Scottsdale Canal, this project has something for everyone. Safari Drive residences feature the outstanding finishes and style you would expect to find in this premier location with floor plans ranging in size from 800-2400 sq ft.
Construction began in September 2005 and Phase I was expected to be completed in October 2006. Unfortunately, the slowing real estate market put some major brakes on the community so that Phase I still is not done. The name came from a 40 year old resort that had been on the site called The Safari designed by Al Beadle. In it's day it was one of THE places to hang out (especially late night when its restaurant, The Brown Derby, was packed).
- Unique Features:Great use of different buildings materials, rusted steel, exposed concrete, and tons of glass for a very sophisticated urban look. The floor plans are very open and flow well. Most residences have large private balconies and all have floor to ceiling windows offering much natural light and great views.
