AMERICAN FACE PAINTER
I painted my son's face like a box of Animal Crackers for American Face Painter Magazine. Jodi Carr produces this fantastic "how-to" magazine for face painters that includes step-by-step instruction for doing successful face painting. I had spoken to her while we were in Shanghai about contributing to the magazine and she let me know that the theme of this issue was going to be CIRCUS. I started brainstorming ideas and for some reason I quickly landed on the the idea of the old animal cages on trains. That thought led me to the box cover of animal crackers and my willing model was my son Zane. My other son, Sage, video taped some of the progress and then I produced a short video showing the making of this cover. It is on-line at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3xFdEeuS5Y .
