The 2002 Bodypainting Calendar Is Under Way
by Mark Greenawalt

Work has begun on the desktop calendar for 2002 which will display some of my favorite body paintings in a slightly modified CD jewel case.  There is a significant amount of work involved in the layout and typesetting for each month, but the tougher task at hand is picking which paintings to include.  Which ones would you pick?  Send me your opinions of which body paintings you think should be included.  I still have a little time before they go to print so maybe one of the upcoming sessions will have the chance to be included.  I will have an order form added to the body painting page once they are printed.

Liquid Latex Swimsuits Update
by Mark Greenawalt

As mentioned last month, I have embarked upon a pictorial layout for the on-line version of Swimsuit Illustrated Magazine and the project is being endorsed by Deviant Liquid Latex.  For this project I will be painting swimsuits on several models using Deviant's liquid latex products and then heading out to the beautiful lake regions of Arizona for photo shoots.  I am currently seeking several more models for this project and hope to have it completed by early July.  The first two sessions have now taken place and several pictures from each shoot are now on-line.  Click on the pictures below to see the images and read the stories:

The Midas Touch
by Mark Greenawalt

I've recently been granted bragging rights about several friends of mine who have taken their music careers to the next level.  First up is Dawna Bradford who recently had one of her songs recorded by Trick Pony (WEA/Warner Brothers) on their debut CD.  The song is "Can't Say That On The Radio", which is a song that Dawna and I played many 'a night in the Nashville honky tonks.  Another song on the CD that we used to play is the current single "Pour Me."

Next up is a fella named Al Ortiz who is currently on tour with Stevie Nicks.  Al is a phenomenal bass player that I met through Roger Wiedabach, the drummer from ANTI-M.  I was grinning from ear to ear when I saw him on Rosie O'Donnel's show and then on the Blockbuster Music awards playing behind Stevie.

Next is Lana Spence who was the singer in my band in Pennsylvania just before I moved to Arizona.  She's got a fantastic voice that can be smooth as silk one minute and then as gravelly as Janis Joplin the next.  Well as fate would have it, she is getting the opportunity to perform with Janis Joplin's band, Big Brother and the Holding Company, on June 16th at Balboa Park in San Diego.

Oh, and there's one last one that doesn't really count because I don't really know her.  Last fall, I'd seen the band Pazport at Axis-Raduis in Scottsdale and thought, Wow, these girls really have what it takes to make it.  Now one of them, Ana Maria, is in the band Eden's Crush, the group formed by the TV show Popstars.

Congratulations to all my friends (and my new friend Ana Marie)!  Now go buy these products from Amazon.com by clicking on the images:

More Bullet Items
by Mark Greenawalt

-I have added one image to the nude art section of my website.  It's an airbrushed painting of a nude skin diver.

-I had the wonderful opportunity to take some photos of Canyon De Chelly (pronounced Canyon D' Shay for those of you not familiar with the place).  What an awesome scene.  I shot two rolls while there and had some spectacular views of Spider Rock and the White House ruins.  Hopefully I'll be adding some of the pictures to the website soon.

Type at you next month,
